The Expediter is responsible for managing all orders received into the kitchen to ensure orders are processed timely and in the order in which they are received; serving as a liaison between the kitchen and the wait staff to help properly prepare and deliver food and beverage products; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Store Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Relays order to kitchen for preparation
  • Ensures all orders leaving the kitchen meet presentation standards and guest requests
  • Knows the menu items served and is able to knowledgeably explain the major ingredients and

    preparation methods for each item

  • Informs wait staff of kitchen wait times and any product shortage
  • Maintains neat and clean workstation during service
  • Patrols assigned station; refills water, coffee and table condiments
  • Sets tables, rolls silverware, washes dishes, makes sandwiches for the To-go area in downtime, and performs other duties in a team effort

    Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
  • Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
